Full Bio
Jackie Quinones is a multi-talented writer, director, actress, and producer from New York. Her writing/directing work has landed on the Coverfly Red List and earned the recognition of The Austin Film Festival, The Raindance Film Festival, The Urbanworld Film Festival, The Script Lab, Screencraft, Roadmap Writers, The Houston International Film Festival, and more.
As a director, she explores themes highlighting the juxtaposition of the light and dark sides of humanity, which she also toys with visually. Her style borders on stark reality and the surreal, sometimes melding
them together to create a delightful psychological glance into her characters.
As an actress, Jackie made her feature film debut in the Independent Spirit Award-nominated “Anne B. Real”, and soon gained national recognition as a correspondent and host on “American Latino TV “and “LatiNation.” She went on to star opposite Wesley Snipes, Luis Guzmán, and Cybill Shepherd in Mario
Van Peebles’ “Hard Luck”, and has since appeared in “CSI: NY”, “Lost Tapes”, and on stage in productions such as Broadway’s “Latinologues” and LAByrinth Theater Company’s “Guinea Pig Solo.”
Her debut short film, “SICK” - which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in - garnered multiple accolades, including a Genreblast Film Festival Best Actress Win & Best Actor Nomination, 2019 Nightmares Film Fest Best Actress Nomination, 2019 WorldFest Houston Suspense Thriller Remi Award, 2019 NVISION Latino Film Fest Best Drama Nomination, and 2019 Detroit Shetown Film Fest
Winner Best HMU. Her second short film, “Dandelion,” was a 2018 ScreenCraft quarterfinalist and brought together an Emmy-winning creative team.
