Eileen Tavarez is a creative and operational coordinator, writer, and producer who works with film and media organizations to grow their efficiency, functionality, and reach. Eileen spent over half a decade as Program Coordinator at Women Make Movies, helping filmmakers raise funds for their films through crowdsourcing and grants from donors such as the Sundance Institute, Ford Foundation, and Cinereach. She also aided filmmakers in gaining inside knowledge and skills on filmmaking and fundraising by co-curating and coordinating workshops, consultations, and networking events. She managed the accounts of many award-winning films such as Strong Island, Diary of a Teenage Girl, and Weiner, as well as the Academy Award-winning, Citizenfour. After concentrating primarily on supporting documentaries and films through fundraising, she has made the transition into producing and promoting content that tells nuanced stories from diverse backgrounds.
