Kelcey Edwards is an Associate Professor of Film & Television at Hofstra University and is an award-winning filmmaker, creative producer, and published writer. She recently directed the feature documentary film The Art of Making It, which won the Audience Award at SXSW 2022, screened at dozens of top film festivals around the world, and is available on major airlines and most streaming platforms, from Amazon to Apple+. For the past 15+ years, Ms. Edwards has dedicated her career to creative storytelling through films, print, and other platforms. She specializes in narrative and documentary producing & directing; digital storytelling; and fiction and nonfiction writing. Her projects have received support from the MacArthur Foundation, Sundance, Tribeca Film Institute, and Games For Change among others. Her films have screened at festivals including SXSW, Berlinale, and Hamptons International Film Festivals, and have been broadcast internationally.
