Sleepy Hollow Cinema is seeking a new board member for a Director of Programming role to help shape our monthly pop-ups, create meaningful film experiences for a diverse audience, and collaborate on the strategy and structure for our future permanent venue.

We are an all-volunteer board working to build a movie theater in Sleepy Hollow. Our programming focuses on repertory film, with an emphasis on modern family classics, Spanish-language cinema, and horror/genre films.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Planning film selections for our monthly pop-ups
• Building and leading a volunteer programming team
• Securing screening rights and procuring media for showings
• Advising the Communications team on audience, messaging, and narrative around film choices
• Serving as a trusted advisor to the board on the film industry, theater operations, and cinema programming
• Assisting with film presentation and film introductions at screenings, when available

All board members are expected to participate in fundraising, attend monthly board meetings, and support all-hands events.
