Marathon Ventures Media Sales manages direct response advertising sales for multiple national and local television networks. Account Executives work with direct response agencies on behalf of our media partners and are responsible for generating revenue and achieving sales targets. As an Account Executive at Marathon, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our direct response account business while working in collaboration with internal departments to minimize risk and maximize revenue on current and future business transactions.
Account Executive Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Analyze clients weekly/monthly sales and revenue reports, confidently interpreting trends and offering strategic recommendations for growth.
Build relationships with existing accounts and consistently develop new business.
Collaborate with the Operations Team to manage and maximize inventory.
Work with Product and Analytics to develop reports on accounts and revenue trends.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure that any client related tasks are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain a thorough and extensive market knowledge of the direct response market and industry trends.
Special assignments as dictated by business needs.
Self-motivated, outgoing, organized, efficient, team player and a strategic thinker.
Extensive direct response and/or paid programming sales experience preferred.
Successful experience selling television inventory to national advertisers in the branding and direct response marketplace.
Skilled in both account management as well as new business development.
Established relationships with national direct response agencies and advertisers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
