Junior Post Production Technician

The Criterion Collection, a home video distribution company located in NYC, is looking for a Junior Post Production Technician. This is a part time, entry level position with daytime and nighttime working hours. 

The selected candidate will support our technical department by performing  quality control of our different assets for technical integrity (audio, video, subtitles, compression level) on various media platforms: vods, discs - blu ray and dvd - and dcp. Other areas of support will include but are not limited to Criterion specific media preparation, file encoding and conversion, disc burning, downloads and uploads of delivery files, and tape digitization. 

You may be right for the job if you have good eyes and good ears and can demonstrate a clear understanding of a file-based workflow, and knowledge of audio and video codecs. You should also be comfortable with platform software like Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, Encoder), and Da Vinci Resolve. You will be supporting the technical needs of various departments within the company, so we’re looking for a highly organized individual who knows how to work efficiently and independently, while keeping an upbeat manner.  

You must be living in the NYC area; schedule flexibility is key. This is a part- time position with a minimum of 20h/week.
