Synopsis
God’s Giggle is a wildly imaginative autobiographical solo show on roller skates. It is about Shoshanna, a promising filmmaker whose life is derailed by a sexual assault that leaves her with a traumatic brain injury. A heartbreaking, hilarious fly from her mind, Fred, hijacks her decision-making in the name of protection. As Shoshanna turns down dream opportunities from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and the music industry, her life unravels, roller dancing through 61 homes in nine years, not including couches, car seats, and strips of sand. God’s Giggle follows Shoshanna’s journey from the edge of despair to creative rebirth.
In addition to raising funds to support the theatrical production of God’s Giggle, Shoshanna is also raising funds to support a documentary, tentatively titled Face to Face with God’s Giggle. The documentary follows her thirty-year healing journey and the process of bringing this show to the stage, tracing her journey from trauma and fragmentation toward artistic rebirth.

She has now returned to her love of filmmaking, theater, music, and performance.
In 2024, Shoshanna performed two roles in EPIC Players’ neurodiverse mainstage production of Spring Awakening and played the lead role of Rhoda in Emma Goldman-Sherman’s Winners at The Tank.
