A One Fly Show on Roller Skates
An autobiographical solo show currently in development for festival and theatrical production.
When a traumatic brain injury alters the course of an extraordinarily imaginative filmmaker’s life, she embarks on a hilarious and heartfelt journey through homelessness, healing, and missed opportunities while searching for a way to bring her gifts into the world. Along the way, she encounters Fred, a shape-shifting fly with terrible timing, and a colorful parade of unforgettable characters who become unexpected spiritual teachers. God’s Giggle is a story of resilience, wonder, and discovering that while trauma may interrupt a life, it cannot destroy the creative spirit.

Face to Face with God’s Giggle follows filmmaker and performer Shoshanna Gleich’s thirty-year healing and creative journey as she brings God’s Giggle to the stage. Blending archival footage, new filming, behind-the-scenes moments, award-winning films, original music, and vérité storytelling, the documentary traces the path from a life interrupted to a life reimagined, revealing the extraordinary persistence of the creative spirit.
Shoshanna Gleich
Shoshanna Gleich is an award-winning filmmaker, theater maker, and performer whose work blends autobiographical storytelling, magical realism, absurdist humor, and original music she writes, performs, and produces.
At seventeen, she created No Thank You, I’ll Twist Some More, a music video that screened in nightclubs in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, aired on New York Hot Tracks on WABC-TV, and was distributed to the U.S. Navy to cheer up the troops.
Shoshanna graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where her thesis film, Dinner at JoJo’s, which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in, received awards for Production Design and Special Effects and was selected as one of the best films of First Run ’89: The 47th Annual NYU Student Film Festival. The film was subsequently shown to incoming students as an example of exemplary filmmaking.
An assault resulting in a traumatic brain injury altered the course of her promising early career. Over the next three decades, Shoshanna continued writing, making films, composing music, roller dancing, and creating original theatrical work, while PTSD profoundly affected her ability to say yes to opportunities that came her way.
In 2020, Shoshanna auditioned for and was accepted into EPIC Players, a neuro-diverse and neuro-inclusive theater company bringing together neurodivergent and neurotypical artists. With the support of her EPIC mentor, she began saying yes to opportunities again.
In 2024, Shoshanna performed two roles in EPIC’s mainstage production of Spring Awakening, played the lead role of Rhoda in Emma Goldman-Sherman’s Winners at The Tank, and starred Off-Broadway in EPIC’s Seussical as the company’s first Cat in the Hat on roller skates. She also released her pop/dance single “Clean Your Dirty Laundry,” which she performed at Tibet House US alongside a screening of No Thank You, I’ll Twist Some More.
In 2025, Shoshanna returned to film acting as Ellie in Julia Aldana’s I Want You to Hear My Voice. In 2026, she presented her original rap song “Hush Hush Got Crush” at Joe’s Pub and performed with EPIC’s improv team, The Missing Socks, at The RAT and ART/New York. Her project for peace, The Enlightened Cycle: Song and Peace Movement, was selected by Chashama for presentation at the Hidden Jewel Box at Port Authority on October 19, 2026.
Shoshanna is currently developing her autobiographical one-woman show on roller skates, God’s Giggle, its companion documentary, Face to Face with God’s Giggle, and The Enlightened Cycle: Song and Peace Movement. She releases her music under the name Super Fire Woman.
