Lauren Lake is a multi-faceted attorney, author, activist, and television personality, Lauren Lake is a Renaissance woman who believes in living a limitless life. Currently, Lake serves as Executive producer and judge of the Emmy award winning nationally syndicated daytime legal show, Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court. Sharp-witted and opinionated, Lake helps litigants resolve legal issues involving paternity using DNA results. While presiding over a range of emotionally charged cases, Lake’s powerful persona resonates as she provides the perfect blend of inspiration and tough love with her no- nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is advice and analysis of each case. A fierce advocate for children and families, Lake seeks to enlighten, educate and empower through each episode. Lake further explores the dynamics of complicated relationships as radio host on KFI Los Angeles, Jeff Lewis Live SiriusXM, Rick and Sasha and Radio One and in her book Girl! Let Me Tell You…Advice on Life and Love for Single Successful Women.

A Detroit native, Lake is a member of the Michigan, New York and New Jersey bars and began her career as a solo practitioner with concentrations in criminal defense, entertainment and family law. Lake later expanded her professional purview to become a prominent television legal analyst to various cable news outlets, and daytime talk shows including CNN, MSNBC, The View, Dr. Phil, Wendy Williams, Steve Harvey and Access Hollywood Live. A highly sought after speaker and lecturer, Lake delivers dynamic keynote addresses and hosts thought-provoking workshops for countless social, civic, political, business, legal, and student organizations including Princeton University, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University College of Law, Florida A&M University, Essence Women’s Leadership Conference, Radio One Women’s Empowerment, Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated, Tom Joyner Family Reunion and Focus Hope Detroit. She has served as panelist and moderator for thought-provoking conversations concerning race, diversity equity, inclusivity and education. Lake doesn’t just talk the talk when it comes to living a limitless life.

In addition to practicing law for over two decades and empowering families, Lake also brings new life to living spaces as an interior designer and real estate developer. She served as host and designer on HGTV’s Spice Up My Kitchen for six seasons and her work has been featured in Good Housekeeping and Ebony Magazine. Lake is also a former professional singer, songwriter and producer. She sang background for multi-platinum artists Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, P. Diddy, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. She also co-wrote and produced music for artists signed to Sony Music and Interscope Records. She co-founded the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering the next generation of women entertainment executives. The former BET Queen Boss judge, savvy business woman and mompreneur strives to be a living example of life’s infinite possibilities. Lake is committed to helping others find their passions and purpose, think and live outside the box, break generational curses, grow their faith, embrace entrepreneurship and launch their limitless lives.

Maria C. Miles is the founding partner of an entertainment law firm with offices in New York. Maria’s practice focuses on all areas of entertainment law including, film (narrative and documentary), music, publishing, fashion and new media. Prior to starting her own practice, Maria was general counsel for a multimedia start-up where she oversaw a diverse range of matters including webisode production, technology licensing, trademarks and copyrights. Maria has worked with award-winning producers, directors, writers, actors, television hosts, multi-platinum recording artists, and corporations in the fashion and sports industries related to their entertainment matters. Maria is an Adjunct Professor at The Feirstein Graduate School for Cinema.
