Congratulations to Pat Swinney Kaufman on her new role as the Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment!

Pat Swinney Kaufman has more than 20 years of experience working in film and television production, with deep expertise in growing jobs and bringing revenue to New York State. She served as Executive Director of the NYS Governor’s Office for Motion Picture and Television Development and the Deputy Commissioner of Empire State Development, and sat on the boards of the New York Production Alliance and Hamptons International Film Festival. Kaufman joined MOME in 2022 as First Deputy Commissioner of Creative Sector Programs, where she oversaw the agency’s work in developing strategies to support film, television, theatre, music, advertising, publishing, and digital media.
