CAP is a father-son love story set in Los Angeles and inspired by true events. 

Manny Bennet has spent all summer saving up enough money for a cap worth a couple hundred dollars. After finally purchasing the cap, Manny is confronted by a bully who steals the expensive item. He convinces his father, Thomas, to confront the bully, where it becomes an altercation that turns out for the worst. Now the mother, Amelia, must deal with the aftermath.

This two part story explores the devastating effects of gun violence on a family.

 

WRITER / DIRECTOR
MARSHALL TYLER
is an award-winning director and documentary filmmaker based in Los Angeles. His recent short Night Shift, executive produced by Viola Davis,  premiered in competition at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and was later selected to be part of the Sundance Shorts Tour as one of seven films which traveled to over 70 cities around the country and internationally.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Award-winning producer, TREVITE A. WILLIS has produced digital content projects, short and feature films since 1999.Her work includes CHILDREN OF GOD which hadtheatrical releases in the US, UK and TheNetherlands, won 17 awards, and sold in 24 territories

MOIRA GRIFFIN is the Executive Director of Production, Creative Labs for 21st Century Fox where she is charged with furthering Fox’s goals to create content that reflects the company’s broad audience, attracts diverse storytellers, and positions the film, television studios and the networks as the home for innovative storytelling

SAM RESTIVO
is a film editor who is proud to again work with director Marshall Tyler on CAP. They previously collaborated on the 2017 Sundance official selection NIGHT SHIFT. Additionally, Sam recently co-edited The Greatest Showman, starring Hugh Jackman, for 20th Century Fox & Robin Hood, starring Jamie Foxx, for Lionsgate.
