Call for Submissions: NYWIFT Puerto Rico-New York Collaborative Media Pipeline

Thanks to funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, New York Women in Film & Television is proud to announce open submissions for the NYWIFT Puerto Rico-New York Collaborative Media Pipeline!

This open call is for filmmakers practicing in Puerto Rico, born in Puerto Rico, with heritage connected to the island, and/or exploring topics related to the island and its people.

The NYWIFT grant is for $5,000 toward development of your creative work and industry mentorship and programmatic activities.

The NYWIFT Puerto Rico-New York Collaborative Media Pipeline (for brevity the initiative) supports filmmakers by providing essential infrastructure and resources to bridge the gap between both communities.

Part of NYWIFT’s Creative Workforce Initiative, the program offers financial support, professional mentorship from industry leaders, pitch training, and high-level networking to foster equity for women working in independent, industry and community media.

NYWIFT launched the Puerto Rico-New York Collaborative Media Pipeline (Phase One) in 2022 for the first two winners with the support of the Ford Foundation.

You can learn more on our website: NYWIFT Announces Support of Two Films through Good Pitch Local Puerto Rico

No submission fee is required for applications.
