TAKING A TRIP THROUGH: history, with Glamour’s The 75 Most Important Women of the Past 75 Years, which includes film and television heavy hitters like Lucille Ball, Julia Child and Barbara Walters. The magazine also approached prominent women (like actresses Rosario Dawson and Olivia Munn) to nominate their own.

CALLING FOR: your support of Art and Craft, the phenomenal documentary project of director and NYWIFT member Jennifer Grausman. The film examines the fascinating 30-year legacy of Mark Landis, one of the nation’s most prolific art forgers, whose notoriety significantly increased after discovery by a Cincinnati-based museum registrar. Art and Craft is currently raising money to finish postproduction on Kickstarter.

HOPING TO SEE: at least one of the screenplays from the Athena Film Festival’s Best Unproduced Screenplays with Strong Female Protagonists make it to the big screen.

Terry Lawler is NYWIFT’s Executive Director. Tune in for her picks every Tuesday.
