Congrats, Victoria: 2015 NYWIFT Muse honoree Victoria Alonso is the first woman to receive the Advanced Imaging Society’s Harold Lloyd Award, which is presented to a filmmaker who in the judgment of the Society has created a body of work, and specific achievements in 3D, that advanced the motion picture art form. Victoria is Executive Vice President of Physical Production for Marvel Studios.
Good guy: Our partner Athena Film Festival named their first ever male honoree, Paul Feig, for his female-driven body of work and his outspoken support of women throughout his career. The festival runs Feb. 18-21 at Barnard College.
That’swhatshesaid: Erin Pike’s one-person play consists entirely of dialogue from the women characters that appear in the 10 most-frequently-produced American plays during the 2014-2015 season. Long story short: the results are darkly entertaining, upsetting and important.

Rachel Schwartz has been a staff member at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) since January 2019, in rising roles as the Manager, then Director, and now Head of Daytime and Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.
