11/17: DOC NYC film festival discount for NYWIFT members!

This year, NYWIFT has partnered with DOC NYC to support women-made media!

DOC NYC is the country's largest documentary festival and will take place November 14-21 at the IFC Center and SVA Theater. There are over 130 films and events to choose from this year, and over 100 special guests expected in attendance, including Sarah Polley, Michel Gondry, Oliver Stone, Errol Morris, Noam Chomsky, Michael Moore, and many others.  NYWIFT members get $5 off ticket prices for selected women-made films in the festival, which are listed below.

Join us for the U.S. premiere of How to Lose Your Virginity on November 17! This film was a recipient of the NYWIFT Fund for Women Filmmakers grant, and has been called a "surprising look at virginity's influence, from purity pledges to porn sub genres." A screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with Director Therese Shechter and Producer Lisa Esselstein.
