Multicom Entertainment Group to release Cece King's The Broken Ones, on VOD and DVD, following Los Angeles premiere

Written and produced by and starring NYWIFT member Cece King, The Broken Ones premieres in Los Angeles July 9, and releases July 10 on multiple VOD platforms and DVD. The film's worldwide distribution rights were acquired by Multicom Entertainment Group 

Based on a true story from writer Cece King, The Broken Ones is the story of one woman's struggle to cope with the loss of her father in the 9/11 attacks. Two strangers meet and go on an adventure from New Jersey to New York, confronting their darkest fears and overcoming tragedy. Andrea Kelly, a troubled and closed-off young artist in her mid-20s, grapples with being placed by her overbearing mother, Janet (Margaret Colin), who placed her in a sober living house in the suburbs of New Jersey following a string of bad decisions, alcohol and drug abuse.This intense, romantic drama carefully delves into the struggles of depression as two troubled strangers meet and help each other overcome personal fears and tragedies.

The Broken Ones
 boasts an incredibly diverse cast and crew made up of at least 50 percent women, people of color, and members of the LGBT community. In addition to its female producer, writer, and lead (Cece King), the film also features a two additional female producers (Julie Helton, Karli McGuiness), and a female director, Elyse Niblett, who comes from a prolific commercial directing background with several narrative short films under her belt and is making her feature debut with The Broken Ones.

Cece King

Jersey girl, Actress, Writer and Producer, Cece moved to LA from New York to study film. She attended New York Film Academy and graduated in the producing program, and has been studying acting in both LA and New York with some of the most prestigious acting coaches. She has made appearances in Marvel's Jessica Jones and Masters of Sex
