KAYLA KAIPOLANI CARROLL is a creative activist from a small town on the North Shore of O'ahu, Hawai'i. She holds a BA from NYU Tisch in Film & TV with a focus in Documentary and minor in Social Work and works as a Manager at Picture Motion, a marketing and advocacy firm for issue-driven films and documentaries. Kayla's work at Picture Motion includes operational management, social media, marketing, event production, and social-issue research for films and media.
In the past, Kayla acted as a research assistant at Pentimento Productions, assisted with tracking film press in the festival circuit at Cinetic Media, and interned in the Art Department of the TV show Elementary on CBS.
Kayla is also involved in many creative ventures and has directed as well as co-produced short documentaries in Havana, Cuba and has been a production designer and art director on various short films and other media here in New York.
