Joy Jorgensen is an independent narrative feature film producer based in Brooklyn and Berlin.

Full Bio
Joy Jorgensen is the lead producer and founder of Killjoy Films. Joy has a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University and a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting and Directing at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Recent features include RUNNER (dir. Marian Mathias) which premiered at TIFF 2022 and HOMEBODY (dir. Joseph Sackett) which won the Special Jury Award for Emerging Talent at Outfest 2021. Joy is a 2021 Sundance Producing Fellow, 2022 Rotterdam Producing Fellow, 2022 Torino Film Lab Script Editing Fellow, and recipient of the 2022 New York Women in Film Grant. She is an adjunct professor in Producing at NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film program and is based in Berlin and Brooklyn.
