Full Bio
Hannah Roze is a spirited NYC-based actress, stage-combatant, and filmmaker. She graduated New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama and minor in Art History. During school she held a leadership position on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's College Group, learned to sword fight and how to read tarot. Short films in which she has acted have been official selections of the New Hampshire FF, Lincoln Center's NY Jewish FF, SAG-AFTRA's New York Short Film Showcase, the Big Apple FF, the SNOB FF, and the LGBT Film Festival. She has also acted Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway in venues such as the Cherry Lane Theatre, The Brick, Urban Stages, the ATA Chernuchin Theatre, the Access Theater, and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute's Marilyn Monroe Theatre. Most recently, Roze co-created, wrote, co-directed, and starred in her own film 'The Disenchantment of a Young Adult and a Wild Child'. With it, she aspires to empower female filmmakers offscreen while changing sexist, limiting perceptions of female protagonists onscreen. (to that end The Disenchantment employed an entirely female cast and production crew of thirty women).
