Amber Williams is a Brooklyn-based writer, director & producer telling stories centering young Black women. An Emerson MFA alum with 8+ years in entertainment (NBCU Page, Peacock), she’s launching her short Amidst All The Noise & developing her web series, HIGH.

Amber Williams is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, and producer who’s passionate about telling coming-of-age stories that center young Black women. Her work primarily focuses on the teenage and young adult experience while incorporating themes of identity, self-worth, love, and belonging.

Amber obtained a bachelor's degree in Media and Society at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and later pursued an Master in Fine Arts in Writing for Film and Television at Emerson College. Her debut film, Amidst All The Noise, is an upcoming romantic short exploring themes of vulnerability, self-love, and longing. Amber hopes that Amidst All The Noise will launch her career as an independent artist with the goal of continuing to introduce more stories that showcase young Black women as beautiful, vulnerable, and nuanced.

Outside of her independent work, Amber has a successful career in TV, film and entertainment, with 8+ years of experience across production, streaming, cable and more. Amber has experience working as a production assistant on major studio sets such as ABC’s NY Undercover (2019 reboot), Paramount+’s Clifford The Big Red Dog, and Showtime’s Billions S5. Amber also applied and was accepted into the notable NBCUniversal Page Program where she gained tangible experience in various areas of the company such as Late Night (Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and SNL), Advertising Sales, and Cable News & Entertainment. Afterwards, Amber worked in marketing at Peacock where she led brand marketing efforts for Peacock’s priority programming and cultural tentpoles.

Currently, Amber works in a creative role at People Inc. and is writing and developing her own web series called High, which is inspired by her high school boarding experience in Massachusetts.
