Sara Robin’s work focuses on creating more humane futures. She is the winner of the 2023 HollyShorts screenwriting contest with her sci-fi script “Switch”, and is directing commercial work for leading brands including Netflix, Jordan Brand, and Dunkin Donuts.

Sara Robin is a German filmmaker based in New York. Her work focuses on creating more humane futures, and spans narrative, experimental, and documentary films.


Sara is the winner of the 2023 HollyShorts screenwriting contest with her script Switch that explores virtual relationships. She is in production on Your Attention Please, a feature documentary exploring how we can overcome the addictive pull of the attention economy.


Sara’s undocumented coming-of-age short film "Cranberry Nights" starring Inde Navarrette (13 Reasons Why, Superman & Louis) has screened in dozens of festivals including HollyShorts and SCAD Savannah, and received awards for best directing and best film.


Sara directs and produces commercial work for a wide range of clients including Netflix, Jordan Brand, and Dunkin Donuts.
