Full Bio
Allason Leitz is an arts administrator living in New York City. She has programmed, produced, marketed and distributed experimental, hybrid and documentary films for the last decade for works premiering at Berlinale, IFFR and on major streaming platforms. Most recently she founded Project Cinemas, focused on supporting indie and art-house cinemas and exhibition spaces. Previously she worked at Maysles Documentary Center as the Head of Operations and Strategic Initiatives supporting programs for young, emerging, and established filmmakers through the public cinema and education programs. Previously Allason organized with the cultural center Yole!Africa in Goma, DRCongo where she was Assistant Director at the Congo International Film Festival as well living and working in Berlin, Germany on a doc-fiction hybrid series. She has a BA in Interdisciplinary and Global African Studies and a Masters in Arts Administration from Columbia University. Allason happily travels to most corners of the earth in search of sand,
