Angelita Mendoza is an award-winning, Mexican American writer/director from San Diego, CA who has made NYC her home for the past 16 years. She has worked as an editor for 14 years specializing in marketing and promotional content for clients including HBO, Cinemax, HBO Max, A&E, History Channel, Lifetime, YouTube, Nickelodeon, Pepsi, Brisk, and Don Julio among others. Directing has been Angelita's passion since she was a child when she grew up at her father's video stores. Angelita has had a long career in editing but turned her focus to writing and directing in the last 7 years. She has directed short films, branded content, and commercials. Her short film "You Deserve It," which features a day in the life of an immigrant, won her the Grand Prix at the Moet Moment Film Festival whose judges included Laura Dern, Billie Lourd, and Annka Hoffman (the then Vice President of the HFPA). Angelita's short film, "The Last Light," screened at HollyShorts, NYFF, and San Diego Latino Film Festival. It was licensed by
