Sami Bass is a writer, producer, actress and casting assistant from NYC. Starting as a student of the Lee Strasberg Film Institute as a young adult Sami began her acting career in student and independent films. During this time she performed in such films as Disney's Step Up 3D, and the DGA Award Winning student film 'Alex'. After spending time on various sets her love for all things film bloomed and she expanded into casting as an assistant at Mark Saks Casting. During her time as a casting assistant, Sami attended Hunter College where she studied creative writing and film. As she has continued her pursuits as an actress and casting assistant, Sami has expanded into producing, assistant producing the feature film 'Bite Me'. Sami has also jumped into gender parity activism in the industry joining The 51 Fund as Executive Assistant, and founding her very own non-profit tech startup, MoviesByHer.com, a site cataloguing and promoting women's films. Sami is also currently producing two films she wrote: the feature film 'The Mentor', and the short film 'Stag Party', along with producing an unnamed feature film by Stephen Fechter.
