Sarah LaVerne is a German-born, NYC-based filmmaker & actor. With comedy roots (UCB, Comedy Cellar) & training from Atlantic Acting School, Sarah’s since directed award-winning comedy & branded content and produced docs & music videos. She also recently made her Off-B’way debut.

Sarah LaVerne is a NYC-based filmmaker, writer and actor with 10+ years’ experience spanning narrative, doc and branded content across TV, film and digital platforms. She’s collaborated on programming for the likes of Disney, VICE, NCAA, and Discovery. Her award-winning short, FIVE SECOND RULE, led to the commissioned digital series BETTINA & TREY: BFF ‘TIL DEATH. Her experience ranges from studio shoots to international skeleton-crews, also creative directing brands to make fun, inspiring content. Sarah’s acting background focuses on comedy—training for stage/screen at the UCB, Comedy Cellar and Atlantic Acting School, allowing her to pivot as a multi-hyphenate and empathetically direct talent (she’s all about directing a calm, yet playful set!). Fun fact, Sarah hails from a military family which means she has no hometown—her creative lens reflects this nomadic life through observational humor, finding joy in the absurd, and redefining what love means.
