Julie Christeas is an accomplished independent film producer who began her career as a production manager and line producer for a myriad of commercials and films. She then accepted a position at Renart Films, a leading NY based independent production company, as Executive Vice President of production and development. There, she executive produced Monogamy, a narrative feature directed by Academy Award nominee, Dana Adam Shapiro starring Rashida Jones and Chris Messina. Monogamy went on to win best NY Narrative at Tribeca Film Festival 2010.TANDEM PICTURES was founded in 2010 to develop and produce original feature films and has since evolved into a diversified media company including TV projects, art projects and a burgeoning commercials division.

Tandem began when collaborating with World Vision to promote a new approach to aid through a documentary film starring the acclaimed actor Hugh Jackman. The film, Seeds of Hope, screened on network TV in Australia, and is currently being expanded for theatrical release in the US.

From 2012-2013, Tandem produced two narrative features. The Sleepwalker, a Norwegian-American co-production recently selected for the U.S. Dramatic Competition at Sundance 2014 and Wildlike which will be released in 2014 starring Bruce Greenwood, Brian Geraghty and Ella Purnell.

Tandem has also maintained a close connection to Baz Luhrmann, producing and editing eight short films directed by legendary Australian filmmaker for the Metropolitan Museum of Art s 2012 Costume Institute show to 7000 exhibition visitors daily.
