Rebecca Halfon is a New York City born and raised filmmaker. She is an alumna of Barnard College and the Graduate Directing Program at the School of Visual Arts, where she was awarded the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award for Excellence in Directing. Her debut film, Bodega, had its World Premiere at the 2019 South by Southwest Film Festival. In addition to writing and directing, she has worked as a film producer, an environmental advocate, and as assistant to actor and activist Mark Ruffalo.
