Ondrea was born in Santa Cruz, California. After spending 7 years in France, where she found her passion for photography, she moved to New York City where she now lives and works. The transition into Film and Video came in 2008 when I was hired to do a broadcast commercial for Clinique and since I have never looked back

Clients include L oreal, Garnier, Olay, Clinique, Aussi, Bobbi Brown, Target, Aveeno, Jane Iredale, and Pantene. Her celebrity clients include Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, Amy Adams, Sarah Jessica Parker and Sally Field to name a few.

The celebration of making feelings visual, showing the moments right before or right after the intention. Everybody has something special, beautiful and unique. Something that sparkles, tickles, evokes and remains. Our physical differences diminish when you see a feeling that you know.

She has been a part of many group exhibitions including, In-Haus s NOWNY15 Soho Photo Gallery GenArt and was the 2009 recipient of the PX3 People s Choice Award in Portraiture. In 2003, she was listed as one of PDN s 30 Photographers To Watch.(


Barbe s fine art Flower photography can be found in hotels in London and NYC and was most recently featured in Rizzoli s new book, Le Gemme. She has exhibited at Soho Photo Collective and continues to donate artwork to several prominent charity auction events including, L.O.V.E (Leave Out The Violence), NYC and Rebuild Nepal, NYC, to name a few.

Barbe is a member of alreadymade.org an initiative to reach gender parity for experienced women photographers.



Artist/Mission Statement
I started out photographing all my friends and co-workers I was always working towards getting closer to my subjects, towards the truth of who they were as women which then organically translated into commercial work for the beauty and editorial industry those of strong, powerful women who looked and felt beautiful. Beauty was an entryway for me to make a living doing what I loved most photography.

I want to share honest stories of women-
there is an innate resilience and strength that all women share and my mission is to shed a light on the many variations of Female Empowerment.ý
