Meet the New NYWIFT Member: Jessica Heyman

Welcome to NYWIFT, Jessica Heyman! Jessica is the Founder and Director of Art for Film, a Brooklyn-based company that connects the art world with the film and television industry by providing high-quality, legally cleared artwork for productions. A New York City native, Jessica studied at Barnard College before pivoting from work in social justice and education to the film industry, where she recognized a gap in the market for cleared artwork in New York productions and went on to found Art for Film. Since launching the company in 2006, she has built Art for Film into a trusted resource for set decorators and creative teams, representing a diverse roster of more than 100 artists and placing artwork in thousands of films, television shows, and commercials, including Succession, Mean Girls, and Only Murders in the Building. In our interview, Jessica discussed her path in the film and art worlds, her commitment to artist advocacy, and lessons from building a women-owned business.

Meet the New NYWIFT Member: Danielle Bancroft

Welcome to NYWIFT, Danielle Bancroft! Danielle is a recent Chapman University graduate who earned a BFA in Film Production, with an emphasis in Production Design and a minor in Entrepreneurship. Throughout her undergrad years, Danielle was able to design many short films including her thesis, Protégé, where she was able to build 1950s French ateliers utilizing her schools scene shop and sound stage. In addition to building sets, Danielle co-founded The Portal Productions, a student-led non-profit dedicated to getting students real world experience while providing small businesses in Orange County with affordable media production. Danielle was also a stylist intern at Macy's, working on print, digital, and video ads, and she recently went back to work as an assistant stylist for the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. With her entrepreneurial spirit and natural creativity, Danielle is excited to assist designers with anything from solving logistical issues to fabricating furniture, props, or set pieces.

Meet the New NYWIFT Member: Diana Rehnlund

Welcome to NYWIFT, Diana Rehnlund! Diana Rehnlund is a Set Designer working on a diverse variety of projects, including The Girl from Plainville, Juror #2, The Fabulous Four, and Clean Slate. Diana holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Philadelphia University (2010) and a Master of Fine Arts in Production Design from SCAD (2018). After moving to Savannah, Georgia for graduate school, she began working in the film industry as a PA, Art Department Coordinator, and then as a Set Designer (IATSE Local 491). Diana's background includes designing custom food trucks, millwork, and cabinetry, and mentoring students. Diana's most recent projects include working as a set designer in the art department of the hit TV series The Hunting Wives and The Righteous Gemstones. Having recently returned to New Jersey, she enjoys the creative, collaborative pace of film and television and brings flexibility, detail, and strong problem-solving skills to every project.
