Tammy Reese is an award-winning writer and journalist. As a multimedia professional, Tammy is best known for her epic interviews with Sigourney Weaver, Laurence Fishburne, Omar Epps, Essie Davis, Britt Lower, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Nelly, Dedee Pfeiffer, Patina Miller, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Michael James Shaw, Giancarlo Esposito, Tonya Pinkins, Ross Marquand, Courtney Kemp, Joseph Sikora, Carmen Electra, Tom Arnold, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Meagan Good, Leon, and many, many more.
Over the course of Tammy’s career in media, she’s covered a host of industry events and film and TV content for the Academy Awards, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Scarefest, New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival, New York City Horror Film Festival, AMC, HBO Max, Starz, Lifetime, BET, The Roku Channel, Prime Video, TV One, Urban One Honors, Black Music Honors, and Black Media Honors.

What is your role with the podcast team, how long have you been involved, and how did you get started?
A couple of years back when I joined NYWIFT I wanted to be a part of the communications committee to be a helping hand in any way that I can. After joining, I learned more about the podcast and wanted to get involved, and the rest is history. Best decision ever! I am one of the co-hosts and a proud member of the New York Women in Film & Television Women Crush Wednesdays Podcast Team.

What do you enjoy most about the podcast and how has this journey been for you?
I love and enjoy helping to lock in interviews, I love and enjoy interviewing guests, I love and enjoy the brainstorming process, and I love and enjoy the presence and working with each and every one on the team.
This journey has been so fun and I am excited for each show. Being on the podcast team has elevated my media career in so many ways and provided me with so many opportunities that I am so grateful for.

What would you like to see more of this year?
I would love to see even more people become aware of our podcast, which I am confident about because the buzz is growing right now. I would like to also see more behind-the-scenes guests make appearances on the podcast in addition to the big names that come on such as set designers, grips, production assistants, script supervisors, background actors, and more.
