Hamptons International Film Festival 2009
Women's Shorts Program

Since 2003, NYWIFT and the Hamptons International Film Festival have teamed up to present To The Point: Women Telling Stories Through Media, a program of short films and videos recommended by members of Women In Film chapters around the world.

This year, the seventh in this annual series, the program will screen exceptional shorts that celebrate the original perspectives of women from all walks of life. Program selections were made jointly by a panel of NYWIFT filmmakers and the Hamptons International Film Festival's programming department.

And don't forget to save the date for HIFF's awards party on Thursday, October 8th (see below) and NYWIFT's annual women's brunch on Sunday morning (check your email for details).
And check out the panel on green production on Saturday, October 10 at 11 am to learn about the innovative ways that productions are reducing their carbon footprint.

The RoC® Gold Standard in Filmmaking Award, given at the Hamptons Film Festival to the best woman feature director, will be presented on Thursday, October 8th at a reception co-sponsored by NYWIFT.  The screening takes place from 1:30 — 3:30, with the Award presentation and reception following at Hedges in East Hamptons.
