Julie Petrusak is a director, show creator, and producer who crosses over between T.V., film, and live performance. She began her career in the professional dance world as a director, choreographer and producer. She founded her dance company, JP Dance Group, in 2014. Her choreography was presented by the Southern Vermont Dance Festival, Harlem Arts Festival, Triskelion Arts Center, Chashama Summer Performance Series, and NYC Fashion Week. Ms. Petrusak produced educational dance programming for Riverbank State Park in Harlem, NY as well as evening-length performances at the Riverside Theatre. In 2015 she choreographed, directed and produced Dance the World Nutcracker Festival, which was chosen for MetroNY s top five alternative Nutcrackers. In 2012, she co-produced New Works at the TANK.
She founded Whole Picture Films, with Jermaine Burrowes, a production company that creates T.V. series, feature films, and narrative digital content. She and Mr. Burrowes are currently co-creators of multiple comedy television series, and have two completed feature-length screenplays.

Ms. Petrusak was a selected artist for the OULU Dance Hack in Oulu, Finland and for the BRIC Media Arts Fellowship. As a performer Ms. Petrusak worked with Genesis Dance Company and Racoco Rx.She is a graduate of the Alvin Ailey/ Fordham University B.F.A. in Dance Program and studied video media design at Carnegie Mellon University. She is an Alumni of the Maryland Youth Ballet Release time Program.
