Nicole Teeny's first feature documentary BIBLE QUIZ won the Slamdance Film Festival Grand Jury Award before garnering 9 festival awards, playing more than 25 festivals, theatrically in 9 cities, Netflix, and on TV across the world on the Sundance Channel Global. It was selected for the US State Department program American Film Showcase called 'instantly lovable' by Hollywood Reporter and 'smart, funny and disarming' by the L. A. Times. Her short documentary THE WRITER was exhibited as part of Harun's Farocki's LABOUR IN A SINGLE SHOT at the 2015 Viennale, Museum Folkwag, Mills Gallery in the Boston Center for the Arts, and House of World Cultures. Other projects include a Zed Fest Jury Award winning hybrid short that went viral and holographic moving images in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab. She is currently in production on her second feature documentary and developing a short narrative, PUBLIC POOL which was selected for the 2016 Berlinale Short Film Station and has won best short screenplay at Phoeni
