Nanci attended the American Film Institute for screenwriting and was hired to write an ABC TV movie and a Lionsgate feature comedy re-write before there was a pause in her career to raise three children. When she came back to writing again, she was accepted to The Writers Lab, funded by Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman. She teamed up with her good friend and novelist, Cylin Busby. They wrote a comedy/horror which was a finalist at the Austin Film Festival and then sold to New Line with Trish Sie (Pitch Perfect 3) attached as director and Donald DeLine (Ready Player One) attached as producer. The two are currently working on another comedy/horror.
