Amelia Spitler is a writer, director, and producer. In addition to film production, she frequents the film festival circuit, coordinating festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, and DOC NYC.

Raised on the East Coast, Amelia produced Ex Disposer (2020 Brooklyn Film Festival, Palm Springs International ShortFest, deadCenter Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival) the summer after receiving her BFA in Filmmaking from Montclair State University. This coincided with her time at Big Beach Films, where her passion for creative development and producing ignited.

Following her craft, Amelia has since coordinated several feature and short films, including Hassan Fazili s Midnight Traveler (Sundance 2018 producers - Emelie Mahdavian, Su Kim distributor: Oscilloscope), Emma Seligman s Shiva Baby (TIFF 2020 producers - Kieran Altmann, Katie Schiller, Lizzie Shapiro), Robin Weigert s The Interpreter, and Paola Ossa s Remember When. She also collaborated as Associate Producer on Omri Dorani s This Is Our Home (Cinequest 2019 producers - Simone Policano, Jeff Ayars distributor: Uncork'd Entertainment).

Amelia is bi-coastal with roots in both New York City and Los Angeles. She is currently in pre-production on her own debut short as writer / director. She is a proud member of NYWIFT and the Independent Filmmaker Project.
