Kristin Cantwell

Kristin Cantwell

Full Bio
Kristin Cantwell is an actor, writer, improviser, and aspiring cat lady currently based in New York City. She's been described as everyone's best friend, loyal, passionate, a little nerdy, quirky and fun. While comedic scripts are her love, she is equally adept at dramas that have some comedic heart in them. Life is too short...why not spend some time laughing As an actor, she has been compared to Melissa McCarthy, Sara Rue, Merritt Wever, and Tina Fey.

Originally from Northern Virginia right outside Washington, DC, Kristin has a BA in Theater from the University of Mary Washington. Her one-person shows, Confessions of an Invisible Woman and Butter: a love story premiered at the Capital Fringe Festival to sold out shows and great reviews. She co-founded, writes and performs with her sketch comedy group, Curvy by Nature.

When she's not performing or writing, she can be found cuddling with her cat, Harlem, or cooing at kittens in various Petcos around the city. She loves diners, carrot cake with ample amounts of cream cheese frosting, cooking, books, too many TV shows to name, and traveling.
