Virginia is a British film lawyer who trained and qualified as a solicitor at international, magic circle law firm Allen & Overy LLP where she worked predominantly as a project finance lawyer in London, Budapest and Sydney. After five years at the firm she transitioned into the heart of the UK film industry as a film financing lawyer representing the British Film Institute's Film Fund. The BFI is the lead body for, and largest public funder of Film in the UK. Whilst at the BFI Virginia worked on over 60 production financings of feature films including fiction, documentaries and animations and co-productions with Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. She decided to extend her practice to the US film and television industries in 2017 by completing an LL.M. at Columbia Law School where she graduated in May 2018 as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Virginia now works for Reed Smith LLP in the firm's New York office developing the film and TV practice there in collaboration with the London and LA offices.
