Praveena, is a cardiologist and a life long obsession for film. On her birthday in 2016, she woke up with a panic attack thinking that she would die without ever realising her dream of making a film. So, on a whim she left for India with a do or die attitude. She produced her first film C/O Kancharapalem released theatrically to critical and commercial success in Sept 2018 and was released by the largest distributor in South India. In 2019, she took a sabbatical from medicine to make Uma Maheshwara Ugra Rupasya made in collaboration with the production house behind the biggest film in India and awaiting release. And, now Praveena, is back in NY and ready to cross over to the US and ready to take on her ultimate dream of making global films. f
