Before Madeline can begin to cope with her mother's death, she befriends an unexpected stranger who leads her to heal.
Synopsis:
Madeline is distraught. Her mother, closest friend and confidant has just died. The film begins right after the funeral has just finished. Madeline looks as if she might fall and break into a thousand pieces. She walks out of the church on the street. It’s a gorgeous spring day and the streets of Astoria are bustling with people at shops and cafes. Madeline ignores it all. She walks for awhile until she meets a kind strangers eye, who happens to be a homeless veteran. In this person, she finds solace and understanding. He leads her to heal.
