Pier Robinson started in the film business as a Key PA on over 20 features and videos shot in NYC, including Jumping Jack Flash, Police Brass, Death Wish, Crocodile Dundee, The Fugees, etc. qualifying her as an AD. As a SAG actress, Pier appeared on soaps One Life To Live and Loving as well as TV s Law & Order, The Street, The Billie Holiday Story, The Cosby Show, Do The Right Thing, and was a Stand-In on A Different World. Always the writer, she has submitted spec scripts for shows like In Living Color, A Different World, and The Cosby Show with encouragement from head writer, Matt Robinson. Over the last several years, writing ventures include: script coverage for Lee Daniels, at his former office in NewYork City and collaborations with a noted comedians; Faizon Love TV pilot, The Faizon Love Show; Donnell Rawlings production company and even the legendary Mr. Paul Mooney on a script entitled Funny Man. Pier also helped to discover talent as a Casting Assistant on Fox Searchlight s feature films Notorious and The Blind Side working with Casting Directors Twinkie Byrd and Wendy McKenzie. Most recently, Pier became a filmmaker, writing and producing the short film, 7 Pennies, about a Creole girl in 1940s New Orleans who plots to escape a world of abuse: @7penniesfilm on IG.
