NYWIFT Sisters: Let us toast to Spring together!

It’s sunny, birds are singing, the skies appear clearer. We all feel more vulnerable than ever before. But with the growth of Spring, do you finally feel a little relief from the human and economic despair we see all over the world? As a grassroots media activist, I have learned over the years that in order to accomplish any goal you have to be persistent, not yield during times of crisis, and celebrate small achievements.

At NYWIFT, we are committed as ever to keeping you informed, connected, and supported.

Today we launch our 2020 Community Building Membership Campaign. If you are not a member yet, I hope you will become part of the movement of women advocating for change in the industry. Please take advantage of the biggest discount we’ve ever offered on membership.

Shonda Rhimes said, “Dreams are lovely. But they are dreams. Fleeting, ephemeral, pretty. But dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It is hard work that makes them happen. It is hard work that creates change.” And look at what she has accomplished both in her professional and personal life.

We need to be united now more than ever as we re-build: create a vision of what our industry could be, heal as a community, and imagine the world the way we would like it to look in the future.

Over the next 12 weeks, we will feature the leaders of our creative community who are NYWIFT members to give you a taste of what NYWIFT means to them. And who better to kick off our community building campaign than our Board President Jamie Zelermyer?
