Greetings Dear NYWIFT Members,

Thank you for the honor of electing me to the Board of New York Women in Film & Television. I’m currently in my second term, and thrilled to serve as the newly appointed Vice President of Membership.

There’s no doubt that 2020 has been one of the most significantly challenging years, and distinctively creative as well – how many of you have cut your own hair? Discovered your inner chef? Or started your DIY projects? Our work-life balance has shifted: After months of building our new worlds, we are learning to forge ahead, creating a bold new pathway together.

Tumultuous times can serve as a powerful impetus to propel us forward in new ways of working, expanding, and connecting. At NYWIFT, we are standing up to today’s challenges by generating meaningful programming that will inspire and elevate your work-life balance and empower you with tools that will help get you through the weeks and months ahead.

With advanced technology in place, we bring our full panoply of programming online until it’s safe to gather again.

We are encouraging our members to spread the word and invite your friends and colleagues to join NYWIFT.  If each member invites one member to join, we can expand our membership and build a stronger, empowering and supportive NYWIFT Community. To do this, we need your help.

As your VP of Membership, I am here to serve you and can answer any questions along with our dedicated NYWIFT staff. And assure you that we are working diligently to create a more sustainable and united workplace. Just think, if focused light can cut through steel, imagine what we can do as a collective!

Let your light shine…united, we are stronger together.

I look forward to seeing everyone soon at upcoming NYWIFT events. Thank you for your continued support, and for being an undaunted NYWIFT member.

In solidarity,

Yvonne Russo
