Polish Filmmakers NYC present A Diary of A Journey on July 25: Free
Polish Filmmakers NYC, founded by NYWIFT member Agata Drogowska, invites you to the New York premiere of A Diary of A Journey, a documentary on renowned Polish photographer Tadeusz Rolke.
Written and directed by Piotr Stasik, the 52-minute film is a beautiful story about the friendship that can form between two generations. The two men share stories about love and life and teach each other new things. The journey follows 82-year-old Rolke on a road trip in 2012 where he reflects on his life and shares his wisdom with Michal, a 15-year-old apprentice. The two travel across Poland, taking portrait photographs of residents in small towns and villages while the dark room placed in their camper enables them to develop pictures on the spot and give them to the models they accidentally meet.
Followed by a Q&A with director Piotr Stasik and exhibition of Rolke’s photos
