Sarah Knight, Director/Produer Sarah Knight’s, music doc, “Hot Flash,” won the Audience Favorite Award at the 2009 Cinema on the Bayou Festival and was nominated for Best in Show at the 2008 Rappahannock FF. It premiered at the Bermuda Int’l FF, was featured in the 2007 IFP Market’s Spotlight on Docs section. Her narrative features in development include, “The Rhythm of Chaos” (Shohreh Aghdashloo of “The House of Sand and Fog” will star), which was presented at the 2008 Tribeca All Access program; and, “Shady Creek” (starring Tyson Beckford of “Into the Blue” and C.J. Sanders of “Ray”), which was a second-round finalist for the Sundance Creative Producing Initiative & Film Independent Fast Track programs, and a semi-finalist in the RedConnector Filmmaker Competition. Her adaptation of the bestselling novel, “A Yellow Raft in Blue Water,” was featured in the 2007 IFP Market’s Emerging Narrative section, was invited to the 2007 Film Independent Screenwriters Lab, and was a second round finalist for the 2007 & 2008 Sundance Labs. Q’orianka Kilcher (Pocahontas in “The New World”) will star and co-produce. Barbara Ghammashi, Producer Barbara Ghammashi is a producer developing narrative and documentary films through her company Roadside Pictures Inc. Her latest film, “Hot Flash,” was acquired by Shorts International and Barbara is currently a producer on the documentary “Sing: The 2008 Hotel Café Tour” and a co-producer on the documentary “Wise Women Speak.” Other recent credits include the documentaries “Home Front” (Consulting Producer) and “Beslan: Three Days In September” (Coordinating Producer). Projects in development include the feature script “Everything’s Going to Be Alright” with DGA-Award winner Tasha Oldham attached to direct and an adaptation of Kate Wilhelm’s novella “Naming the Flowers.” Barbara was a second-round finalist for the Sundance Creative Producing Initiative with the feature “Shady Creek.” Prior to forming Roadside Pictures, Barbara was a Director of Original Programming at Showtime Networks Inc.
