When his bicycle was hit by a van, Eric was left with traumatic brain injury. Without warning, the active young man was bound to a wheelchair, unable to start college as he still struggles to relearn life skills.

Back Walking Forward confronts viewers with the unpredictability of the workings of the brain. It pushes them to catch their own reflection in the story of Eric and his family. By exploring one family's altered perception of happiness, Back Walking Forward may even inspire audiences to redefine what happiness means to them.
