Call For Submissions: Sundance Documentary Fund Deadline: February 8, 2013Dedicated to supporting U.S. and international documentary films that focus on current human rights issues, freedom of expression, social justice, civil liberties, and critical issues of our time. Considers proposals in 4 categories: Development Grants of up to $20,000 each to filmmakers whose projects are in the early research or production stage. A previous directing sample is generally required. Production and Post-Production Grants up to $50,000 to filmmakers in various stages of the production and post-production stages. Audience Engagement up to $20,000 to previously granted projects for innovative audience and community engagement campaigns. Applications should generally include at least 20 minutes of continuously edited material. Proposals are evaluated on artful storytelling, stylistic innovation, subject relevance, and potential for social engagement.
