Call For Submissions: Tribeca Film Institute New Media Fund for Social Change Deadline - February 5, 2013Provides support and funding to nonfiction, social issue film projects that integrate film with content across newer media platforms – from video games and mobile apps to social networks and micro-blogging. Seeks to support projects that activate audiences around issues of contemporary social justice and equality around the world and that demonstrate the power of cross-platform storytelling and dynamic audience engagement. Grants range from $50,000-$100,000 per project; fund also provides peer support and expert mentorship for producers. Grantees will be required to document their process and help build an open online resource for media producers with the goal of establishing best practices in the transmedia field.
