Future Weather
is a portrait of a Midwestern teen who is abandoned by her single mother and decides to take survival into her own hands. The cast includes Oscar-nominee Amy Madigan and Lili Taylor, as well as the enchanting young Perla Haney-Jardine in the lead role.
A blend of bittersweet and dark humor, the film was shot by award-winning DP Zak Mulligan and has been supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Women in Film, IFP and Film Independent. Shot in the Philadelphia area, it's the debut feature of writer-director-producer Jenny Deller and producer Kristin Fairweather.
The film's Tribeca World Premiere will be followed by a panel with stars Lili Taylor, Amy Madigan, and Perla Haney-Jardine, about the inspiration for the film.
