The NYWIFT Member Screening Series provides members with the opportunity to showcase their work in a theatrical setting. This month's program features a double bill of two exceptional shorts: Lynda Kaplan's documentary Du Bois In Our Time, and the fiction film In The Family Way from director Rachel Gordon.
The screenings take place at Anthology Film Archives, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and networking at a nearby bar.

In The Family Way, starring fellow NYWIFT member Ylana Kellar, screened at the Pan African Film Festival in LA and the Portobello Film Festival in London. Her last short, Loose Ends, was called “a delightful story” by the Tampa Tribune during its festival tour. She is currently producing a documentary about homeopathy. Her other shorts - Writing on the Wall, Open Shutter, Bench Warmers, and Room Tone are distributed through Amazon’s CreateSpace program. Rachel is a dual member of New York Women in Film and Television and Women in Film and TV DC.
