NYWIFT’s Archive Committee has now collected over 100 interviews with women from all areas of the film and television industry. In May, three crews, of volunteers and interns, recorded twelve new interviews at the Art Institute of New York City in Tribeca.
Every six months, twelve new interviews are recorded. Interviewees continue to share their personal journeys in the entertainment industry, what obstacles they faced as women when they began their careers, how the working environment has changed, and what it has meant to be part of a community of women professionals that NYWIFT supports and promotes.
We look forward to continuing our “Marathon Day” and seek new volunteers and committee members to join us this fall. Anyone interested should contact Committee Co- Chair, Norma Davidoff, firstname.lastname@example.org.
