A Fool and His Money (1912)
A Fool and His Money is the first American film featuring an
all African-American cast. It tells the age-old story of a man who
finds a wallet full of money and becomes everyone's friend and then is
swindled, loses it all and is cast out. Told with Guy Blache's humor,
the film shows her customary sympathy for people and their foibles,
ambitions and desires.
